Details:
Engineering students progress through trimester programmes, allowing them to complete three national certificates (N1–N3) in one year. N6 graduates with 24 months of relevant work experience can apply for a National Diploma in Engineering.


Business Studies

NATED (Report 191) Programmes

What are NC(V) Programmes?
National Certificate Vocational (NC(V)) programmes combine theoretical education with practical skills. These three-year courses are aimed at students who have completed Grade 9 and wish to pursue career-focused education.

    • Life Orientation: 40%

    • Mathematics/Mathematical Literacy: 30%

Graduates of NC(V) Level 4 can apply for higher education at universities or universities of technology, provided they meet the required statutory criteria.


Articulation Opportunities

  • Engineering Graduates: N2 certificate holders can complete workplace training and apply for a Trade Test to become artisans. N6 graduates can apply for a National Diploma after 24 months of work experience.
  • Business and Utility Graduates: N6 certificate holders can obtain a National Diploma with 18 months of monitored workplace experience.
  • NC(V) Graduates: Level 4 certificate holders can access higher education or enter the workforce.
