Most of Higher Certificate courses offered at UJ, simply require a Grade 12 Certificate, with no specifications of particular subjects. However, some specialised certificate courses on this list will require relevant working experience, or post-matric qualifications.
One thing you might not know about UJ!
Many students who didn’t get accepted to study their 1st or 2nd choice Diploma or Degree courses at UJ, will intentionally opt for a 1 year certificate course (the ones listed below), and re-apply for the following year. Now, when you apply again for the same course after a year, UJ will prioritise your application because you are already studying (a Higher Certificate Course) with them.
Therefore, enrolling for one of these courses is the best option if you intend to increase your chances of getting accepted for a Diploma or even a Degree course at UJ for the following year.
