The requirements to study BEd (Foundation Phase Teaching) at TUT are:
- APS: 25 points (excluding Life Orientation)
- Requirements:
- Level 5 for your Home Language
- Level 4 for your First Additional Language
- Level 4 for Mathematics or Level 5 for Mathematical Literacy
- Possible Careers: Foundation Phase Educator, Life Skills Facilitator, School Inspector
BEd (Intermediate Phase Teaching)
The requirements to study BEd (Intermediate Phase Teaching) at TUT are:
- APS: 25 points (excluding Life Orientation)
- Requirements:
- Level 4 for English
- Level 4 for Mathematics or Level 5 for Mathematical Literacy
- Level 4 for any combination of Life Sciences, Physical Science, History, or Geography
- Possible Careers: Intermediate Phase Educator, Guidance Counsellor, School Representative
BEd (Senior Phase and FET Teaching)
The requirements to study BEd (Senior Phase and FET Teaching) at TUT are:
- APS: 24 points (excluding Life Orientation)
- Requirements depend on your specialisation, with general requirements being:
- Level 4 for English
- Level 4 for Mathematics, Technical Mathematics, or Mathematical Literacy
- Level 4 for relevant subjects based on the specialisation (e.g., Agricultural Sciences, Consumer Studies, Economics, Information Technology)
